Artists Alliance and Te Tuhi are delighted to present in partnership this series of art writing workshops. Each month from July through December we will host a different writer who will share their insight and expertise.
Our December 2nd session will be presented by Lana Lopesi
Art Writing: The Good, The Bad and The Digital.
Lana Lopesi along with Louisa Afoa founded the art writing site #500words in 2012, since then she moved on to be Visual Arts Editor for The Pantograph Punch where she is now Editor-in-Chief. On top of that, Lana is also a Contributing Editor for Design Assembly. So what do all of these platforms have in common? They exist online. In this session, Lana will talk about what she has learned from working in online publishing platforms, the increase of social media criticism and what this all means for art writing, sharing tips and insights along the way.
