As the sun sets on the Glen Innes Town Centre, Bradley Lane Illuminated lights up.
For one night each year special light displays illuminate the spectacular street art tucked away in the town centre’s small side streets; literally shining a light on the flourishing creativity of this TÄmaki community.
Using the urban environment that the street art murals painted during the Bradley Lane Project occupy, elements of light and live performance are added to create a unique and raw community event.Â
Bradley Lane Illuminated invites you to see the art in a different light as Bradley Lane and other streets are brought to life with fun activities, a digital projection by No Six, Haser painting live, and Pacific and urban dance performances featuring AUĒ, Te Āmiorangi (Ruapotaka Marae), Te Oro Bboy & Bgirls, Ūreia Performing Arts Group and the The Crescendo Trust Of Aotearoa and activities at the Glen Innes Library.
Take an inspiring stroll through the small circuit of streets at your own pace, join the main group tour leaving from Te Oro, or join a mini-guided tour to experience this unique celebration of urban art and Pacific culture.
Bradley Lane Illuminated is presented by The Good, The Bad and supported by Te Oro, Glen Innes Village, TÄmaki, and Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board.
