In a collaborative venture with the four major Central Auckland art institutions, Eden Arts presents the very best student works from Elam, Unitec, AUT and Whitecliffe in a single exhibition, awarding a cash prize to the overall winner.
In February 2011, an Agreement was signed between the Eden Arts Trust and the four participating art schools, marking the official launch of the event. For Eden Arts, the new award seeks to complement our longstanding annual Young Artists Awards while extending the geographical area in which we can help to promote and support young artists.

The Eden Arts Art Schools Award brings together Central Auckland’s four major art institutions: Unitec, Whitecliffe, AUT and Elam. Six undergraduate students were selected from each school. Congratulations to all the finalists on being selected by your school.
The award exhibition, hosted this year by Unitec Creative Industries, is open for public viewing at the Snowhite Gallery and other gallery spaces in Unitec’s Building One, Gate 1 Carrington Rd, Mt Albert. Exhibition dates are Friday 29 July to Friday 12 August 10am to 3pm daily.
The Eden Arts Community Arts Trust was formed 29 years ago for the purpose of promoting the arts in the greater Mt Eden area. Eden Arts’ flagship event is the annual Artists in Eden Day in March. Proceeds fund an annual calendar of events including prize money for the long-established Young Artists Awards every September, which is open to 16-25 year olds either living or studying in the Trust’s designated Mt Eden area.
