Heliaki | In Between Worlds, express the connectedness of Drisana Tonga’s personal worlds and the ways in which, through each expressive brush stroke or line, one culture/way of thinking can instantly transition into another, hence the title ‘Heliaki | In between worlds’ (heliaki meaning to say one thing and mean another).
Drisana Tonga, born and raised on the North Shore she is of Tongan and MÄori descent and completed a visual arts and design degree at Unitec in 2015.  Drisana is currently at Teachers’ College.
