Finding Neitherland is the fourth annual tertiary exhibition of the Tautai Contemporary Pacific Arts Trust. Curated by Graham Fletcher, this large scale exhibition showcases the emerging talent of Pacific artists from five Auckland tertiary institutions. Finding Neitherland responds to the idea of lost utopias by presenting new possibilities for the disruption of the post-colonial superstructure.
Tautai supports contemporary pacific art through actively fostering and maintaining links between contemporary pacific visual arts and the development of artists of Pacific heritage. Every year ST PAUL St Gallery hosts Tautai trust to support a curator to develop an exhibition with artists comprised of art school students from the Auckland area with Pacific Island heritage.
Curated by Graham Fletcher. Artists include Keishya Adams, Darcell Apelu, Jessica Hitchings, Michael Lee, Ken Merrick, Keva Rands, Saimealafo Tapaleao, Mac Teariki, Pilimi Manu.
22 July – 12 August 2011
St Paul St Gallery, 40 St Paul St, Auckland.
