  • Siamani Samoa

Michel Tuffery’s Siamani Samoa art project incorporates a four staged international exhibition program spanning 2011 –2014 with stage one having recently opened with a series of site specific architectural multi media projection artworks accompanied with live performances by the Royal Samoa Police band in and around Apia, Samoa. Siamani Samoa stage two is an exhibition and will include the first release of Tuffery’s expanded exhibition body of works which include a new series of paintings, sculptural artworks and internal gallery projection installation incorporating a commissioned live dance performance by Whitireia Polytechnic Performing Arts School. All of which collectively will speak to the historical records, while also providing a fresh and potentially fluid perspective based on local historical material held and available in New Zealand, Samoa and in Germany.
