Over winter, Tautai will host three workshops with the purpose of developing together as artists and as a community.
The series is aimed to help support the artists practice.
The workshop series will take place at the Tautai office, level 1, 300 Karangahape Road, Newton, Auckland.
Workshop No.1
Tuesday 13 August 6PM-8PM
‘Niu year, niu you’ – this session promotes healing for femes (CIS, trans, non-binary) by using indigenous and creative processes to create an alternative way of operating and living.
This workshop will equip you with a mixture of Moana methodologies to guide you in exploring your own ongoing healing journey or self-care routine.
Please join this safe space with an open heart and mind and be ready to exchange energy and love.Â
Katharine Atafu-Mayo is best known for her moving image, installation and activation work involving a mixture of indigenous practices. To her, art isn’t just aesthetic content, it is a tool to inform, spark change and use as a remedial activity. As her practice has developed Katharine has started to move into a direction to promote healing using indigenous and creative methodologies.Â
This is a FREE event series. Refreshments will be provided.
Afio mai! All welcome.
