Artists Salome Tanuvasa and Quishile Charan have created an exhibition that upholds stories of Pacific female resilience. In this way they empower women, bringing stories to the forefront that are often left out of mainstream history.Â
This exhibition is also part of a year-long emphasis on art by MÄori and Pacific Women, to mark the 125th anniversary of Women’s Suffrage in Aotearoa.Â
To Uphold Your Name – 18th August – 6th October, 2018 Mangere Arts Centre.
