  • Afakasi

A traumatic experience births Leilani Etuale’s hatred towards her father’s culture. She struggles to identify herself with the Samoan culture she so desperately wants to be a part of. Her journey, expressively shown through Samoan and contemporary movement, song, music and spoken word, is her drive to prove to all and most prominently herself that she is not one, she is the other. Inevitably she is confronted with the truth – she is what she does not want to be. Tickets $10.
