The exhibition Api is an exploration around the theme of identity by artists David Vaea, Danielle Dooley and Diana Aiono Gordon. Drawing from individual experiences, the artists have come together to present a show that illustrates the diversity of identity found in Aotearoa. The variety is expressed not only through the artists separate identities but through the differing mediums including sculpture, installation and painting. The exhibition Api has provided the opportunity for these final year art students to showcase their best work to date in preparation towards becoming independent artists in the years to come.
