Tautai and Blak Dot Gallery are calling for proposals for an upcoming group exhibition of artists from Aotearoa and Australia at Blak Dot Gallery, Naarm Melbourne from 14 November — 1 December.
Â
We are looking for art work proposals from multi-disciplinary artists of Pacific heritage working and living in either Aotearoa New Zealand or Australia. We are seeking work which is boundary pushing and challenging to bring together in this exciting cross-Tasman cultural exchange of Oceanic art. If you are an artist with an idea, we would love to hear from you.
Â
Blak Dot Gallery is a pioneering exhibition space, which is Indigenous-led and run showcasing contemporary and traditional artworks from First Nation Artists. Tautai is dedicated to the development and ongoing support of Pacific arts and artists in Aotearoa. Together both organisations are committed to meaningfully illuminating the innovative work made by Pacific communities across both places and creating long-lasting relationships for the artists involved.
Â
An artist fee will be offered with this opportunity. In addition artists from Aotearoa New Zealand will be supported to travel to Naarm Melbourne for the exhibition opening and to connect with local art communities there.
