  • Tautai Manager Christina Jeffery To Retire

It is with a heavy heart that Tautai announces manager Christina Jeffery will be retiring this year.

In making this announcement, the Board of Trustees said ‘Christina has contributed much to Tautai with her passionate respect for the achievements of contemporary Pacific artists and their art. She has fostered exhibition making, coordinated artist liaison across the tertiary community; has grown the program of activities, developed web-based resources; hosted visiting artists, art dealers, teachers and curators; supported curatorial projects and writing; as well as bringing exhibition publications together’.

Christina gained on-going support for Tautai from our core funders Creative New Zealand, Foundation North, and the Fetu Ta’i patron group. She has also grown both interaction and partnerships with numerous educational facilities and other organisations.

    Christina has said:

My role at Tautai has enabled an entré into the wider art community, allowing me to meet and work with fabulous and talented people both in Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally.  I thank you all for your generosity and collegial support. I feel so very very privileged to have been able to get to know and to work with all of you that I have met over these past years.

All Tautai board and staff members express sincere and grateful appreciation to Christina Jeffery for her dedication and years of work. Christina will continue to work with the Tautai Board to help facilitate a smooth transition period.
