  • The McCahon House Artists’ Residency 2018

The McCahon House Trust is calling for applications from outstanding emerging and mid-career professional visual artists for the McCahon House Artists’ Residency programme.

Named Parehuia by local kaumatua Eru Thompson in 2008, the residency is amongst the most prestigious in New Zealand. Three residencies a year, each of three months duration, are available to outstanding mid career artists. Artists receiving the residency will live and work in the purpose built French Bay house with attached studio.

The future potential of artists will be a major factor in the panel’s choice. The selectors must believe that the recipients of the residency have the potential to reach national and international standing and that the opportunity afforded by this residency will contribute to that potential.

This call out is for the period between January 2018 and December 2018.

The deadline for applications is Friday 16 June 2017 5pm.

Successful applicants will be notified on 25th August 2017.
