    TE ORO: Summer Holiday Programme

The Pacific Dance NZ Holiday programme is an arts workshop series for children and young people. The summer holiday workshop will allow young people to explore the Performing Arts disciplines. This 2 week summer workshop is delivered by Pacific Dance New Zealand. During these workshops, children and young people will be exposed to Performing Arts.

This is in the form of music and dance. Students will work with composer / musician Malcolm Lakatani to explore a range of music technique and composition. The students will work with Malcolm to create new original songs that reflect them and their worlds.

The second week is dedicated to dance making. This week, participants will work with award winning choreographer Justin Haiu to create dances for the new music.
This workshop will allow participants to understand basic composition skills for both dance and music.
